In 2006 I began to take courses in beading jewelry, and am having a wonderful time doing it. I’ve developed a unique process for my jewelry customers. When a couple has been together for many years, men often have a challenge finding something to buy for special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas, etc. So….a man can come to me and give me a budget (or not) and contract with me to create an original piece for his woman. Then, the woman comes to my studio and goes through the many, many focal beads and other elements. She will tell me the colors, length, etc. that she likes and then she goes away….I then create and make the piece which usually is a necklace and earrings. The man then comes to pick it up and pays for it, and when he presents his woman with her gift, she is sure to love it because she was part of the process, but it is still a surprise because she didn’t know how it would be put together.
I have donated many pieces to chartiy auctions in Boquete, and am pleased to see how excited people are in bidding for my one of a kind pieces. Below are some of my creations….
